Halloween is this weekend a time for Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies and of course (whores) the time of year when chics are able to release their inner skank. Why is it, on Halloween there are so many females that dress slutty? Not that I've got a problem with it or anything I'm just saying, is it the one time of year they deem appropriate to wear a leather nun's outfit? I don't know...
That's not what this post is about anyway. This year on Halloween AMC will premiere The Walking Dead. I heard about this months ago and have since been "dying" to see it, I can not wait. Unfortunately my sub-par cable provider doesn't host AMC in HD, they don't even have it in digital, what is this 1989, come the F on. Step up your game Grande Communications.
Check it out, looks like this will be a pretty good show. let's hope so cause I'm getting pretty tired of the teeny-bopper vampire loving trend we're currently experiencing.

Somebody please take me to the movies. It's been forever since I last went to a show, at least it feels like forever. I've seen so many trailers come and go that I've forgotten a lot of the films I wanted to see, I hope this movie doesn't pass me by.

Drew Rome EP, dedicated to my kid brother. I am 10 years his senior but somehow find a lot of common ground when it comes to our musical interests. Maybe that’s because I influenced his tastes with my own or maybe it’s cause I took him to his first concert. I’m not sure what it is, regardless though, these are some songs that I think of when I think of him. Enjoy.
Can You Feel the Love Tonight: I can still hear your singing "can you feel da wuuuv tonight". Haha. Many days were spent watching Disney movies one after another and sometimes the same one again and again. This is memory that I will have forever. Sometimes it's hard to imagine you as anything else other than my baby brother even though Pumpkin has grown into a Pumpkin Patch, haha. Good times.
Whoomp There it is: This was an Autumn Saturday must during football season heading to the field on game day. “Whoomp der it is, again, again” And then again over the PA system as my team took the field. This song set it off and got us hype, it was fun and we could all sing along to it… Plus Obama is in the video (@ 1:00). Even today, when I hear this song, I am taken back to a full car, uniform on and the speakers blasting. Good times.
Degeneration X Theme: Wrestling has captivated fans for generations and in our house that rang true. When degeneration X formed, it changed everything. That crew was a force and the theme song set the scene for what was to come. When the echoing guitar was strummed, no matter what we were doing, eating, relaxing or in another room, I remember running to the living room jumping on the arm rest of the couch and dropping the X. Damn, that song hypes me up.
7 Words: One of my all time favorite bands and one of my favorite songs, this tracked hyped me up as I paralleled your words “again again” to myself on my way to your football games. Yessir, I’d blast this song on repeat in your honor as I fired myself up for your games. You were always there for me back in the day so this was my tribute to you. I know you’re not a Deftones fan, but you’ll eventually realize. [Official Video]
Elton John (Lion King Version) - Can You Feel the Love Tonight
Tag Team - Whoomp There it is
Degeneration X Theme Music
Deftones - 7 Words

I've got to stop typing now, cause I am terribly saddened the more I think of it. But it really puts life in perspective and what is and what should be important to me and all of us. It's sometimes hard but we should all be happy for today because the promise of tomorrow isn't there. To my family and friends , know that I love you.
I wish Chi and his family and friends all the best. One.

I can not wait to see this movie. Last year my brother, Drew Rome, CHUBBS and I went to see the first film and we dug it. Initially I wasn't that into it after seeing it -I did have a bit of a hangover and wasn't really feeling it- but as I thought about it later, I knew that this would be the perfect movie to watch at home late at night. Or better yet, I was talking to a buddy of mine and said that we should trade houses for the night and watch the movie in an unfamiliar surrounding. You know, cause you're used to the little nuances of your own home, the creaky step, the sound the A/C makes just before it turns on, the refrigerator and the shadows of trees peaking in the windows. That would be awesome. I probably wouldn't sleep much but still.
Last night after putting Lil Money to bed, I continued with my normal routine of straightening up the living room and washing dishes. The television was on and the trailer for PN2 came on, it got my attention immediately, as I am a sucker for horror movies. Anyhow, it was late, the house was dimly lit and damn, did the trailer spook me. Especially the part where... Well, check out the the trailer below and let me know how you feel or what creeps you out the most.
Alright, after watching that, who's down to go check it out? It premieres tonight (10/21/10 @ Midnight), but I won't be catching that showing as I have Lil Money duty but soon enough I will set up shop in a dark theatre awaiting the activity.

When I was a kid, my sister and mother loved George Straight, I didn't. I didn't even like country music, I mean who wants to listen to rich white men sing songs of loss, love, beer, trucks and dogs? I couldn't relate, I was a product of my society and well, that kind of music didn't relate to me at the time.
Years later I grew up, moved to another zip code and began to experience new things. Still I wasn't completely sold on country music but I left myself as open as I could in an effort to branch out of my comfort zone. My feelings towards the genre was still pretty much the same song after song... Until I was giving a free promotional mix tape that had Garth Brooks' If Tomorrow Never Comes. At the time I was mainly listening to R&B and Rap but after I felt the emotion of Brooks' song that all changed, I added a new genre to my catalog.
Then... Once I started to really get into country music I couldn't stand the sound of a woman singing it. Ugh, it just didn't do anything for me. Didn't like the voice and for that reason I never even tried to relate, I'd just change the station. Well, time has a way of changing things and I eventually came around. I can't remember my "Aha moment" but I now believe, if you've got a song, sing it. If I like it good, if not, maybe it's not for me or maybe it's not for me right now but it is for someone. Shit, have you heard the crap that the Rap/Hip Hop community is putting out today, f*ckin sucks most of the time.
With that said, I love women... Oh, women singing country music. Haha. And if Sugarland and Lady Antebellum ever do on tour together (It would be flippin AWESOME) I am there, I really like their music and the passion in which they perform.
Sugarland - Red Dirt Road (Brooks and Dunn Cover)
If I had never heard of Brooks and Dunn I would think that this song was written for and by Sugarland.
Lady Antebellum - Need You Now
This song makes the act of "Drunk Dialing" sexy.

Nes EP, for my younger sister... I don't know what it is but most of my music memories with my sister are dance related. We're not much of a dancing family, althought I have been known to break a crazy sweat while shaking my tailfeather, or getting down on the Pee Wee Herman. Nes also gets her dance on to film, I think we share a love for dance movies and sing alongs. So, stand up, get your dancing shoes on and lets dance.
Mmmbop: Well they never came out with the Mmmbop Christmas special like I always secretly wanted haha, but this song still plays a big part in my memories with you.
Rockafeller Skank: No one can shake their hips and snap to a beat like my girl Nes. I remember when I first heard this song I knew I had to let her listen to it… Actually, I might be mistaken, I think she may have gotten the album first.
It’s Raining Men: Guilty pleasure of mine and I don’t even care. This song jams and I can’t help but sing along when it’s on.
I Wanna Dance with Somebody: You can’t have a dance themed post and NOT play this song. The last time I randomly heard this song I was wearing my ipod while mowing the lawn and knew that this song would be the foundation for today’s post. Oh yeah, I had to stop a minute to get my dance on before finishing up the lawn.
Hanson - Mmmbop
Fatboy Slim - Rockafeller Skank
Weather Girls - It's Raining Men
Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance With Somebody

Skeeter EP, dedicated to my brother. Looking back, I can’t really think of too many songs that were part of our childhood existence. We were more of movie character type guys, you know we were Young Guns or we were Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday, of course you were Wayatt and I was Doc, there really wasn’t any other way. But this is a Monday Music post, so, let’s get on with it.
Good Morning Beautiful: This song was pretty much the anthem to our early morning days as we got ready for the grind at Bill Miller Bar-B-Q. You were much “buffer” then. Hahaha.
Life By The Drop: This song meant a lot to me while you were doing your part serving this great nation. Every time I heard this song I immediately thought of you.
My Hero: From the moment the drum blasts, this song jams, it’s a head bobber and it fires me up. From the boy you used to be to the man you are and are going to be, you are my hero. All together now "Aaawweee."
Let it be Me: For all the things I’ve said and haven’t, this song says it all. I’ve waited too long to tell you that if you ever need to hang out, talk or just B.S., I’m your man. You’re my brother, I love you.
Steve Holy - Good Morning Beautiful
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Life by the Drop
Foo Fighters - My Hero
Ray LaMontagne - Let it be Me

Having a child affords you the opportunity to create and or include new family traditions in your life. With the addition of Lil Money to our family headquarters The Wife and I have been eagerly waiting every opportunity to do something new with the changing of each season. The Autumn season is already proving to be a fun time for La Familia and it's just begun.
Sweet Berry Farms Plus
All smiles for the road trip.
Attack of the Giant Pumpkins.
After the photo session with Lil Money we headed over to the other side of the Sweet Berry Farms so the lades could snip some beautiful flowers.
After a morning full of sun, it was time for some grub and relaxing... When we left SBF we didn't have a destination in mind but we were all getting very hungry and decided to stop in at Jack Allen's Kitchen in Oak Hill.
I had the Green Chile Pork Tacos - They were about as good as this picture.
Lil Money had a Lemon. :)
