#15 Get New Tattoo(s)

I'm sure all of you are aware that this past weekend was Valentines weekend. A traditional holiday celebrated on February 14th, when lovers express their love for each other by sending Valentine's cards, presenting flowers, or offering confectionery. With that said, my wife and I are anything but traditional.

So... We decided to do something we've been wanting to do for quite some time. So we headed out to Austin's Resurrection Tattoo to get inked. We got there around 1:00 - 1:30 or so; talked to a couple of artist, giving them our ideas. Bradley my artist said he'd need an hour or so to draw up my design and Roger Crystal's artist said he only needed a few minutes.

Tic-Toc-Tic- Toc-Tic-Toc...
(An hour or so later):
We show up after having some lunch and find that the artist are putting the final touches on their sketches. Roger finished Crystal's sketch first and soon got to work. Not too long after maybe around 3:00 or so Bradley set up shop and was ready for me.
Crystal's tattoo (Butterfly is original w/ added detail):
When Crystal's tattoo was done she sat around a bit checking me out, as I was still getting work done, but soon got bored. Out the door she went to find a new camera... We had intentions of taking 'before and after' pictures of our tattoos but when we got to the shop and got ready to shoot, her camera just died. When she finally got back to the shop, she had a brand new Nikon Coolpix camera and I was still getting inked.

The final product:
Finally after a little over THREE HOURS of tattooing we were all done and headed home. We had to race home because by this time it was 6:00 and we had 7:45 reservation at PF Chang's, for a more traditional celebration of Valentine's Day. FYI: Crystal and I did make it to the restaurant on time and enjoyed the night with our good friends Reno and Allison.
I'd like to thank the fine artist at Resurrection Tattoo for their skills and time they put into their work. Thanks Brad and Roger!
