Again! - 101 Things to do in 1001 Days.
Before injuring my Achilles I was actively blogging, averaging
about 18 posts a month. That all ended when my active life slowed to a complete
halt, there’s nothing interesting about an adult American male’s monotonous
life of recovery. Although, while holding the couch to the floor I did catch
too many TV shows about nothing really… You collect miscellaneous garbage and
dead cat’s, sign up for hoarders. Do you enjoy casual sex, drugs and alcohol
and maybe have a kid because of it, that’s MTV. I’ve got hundreds of channels of
high definition rot your brain, time suck “entertainment”. I’m glad I’m feeling
much better, indoor life isn’t for me.
With that said, I’ve decided to embark on another 1001 day
journey to accomplish and yes, maybe even fail 101 goals. This will be my
second go-round with this project and since this is the reason I first started blogging in 2007, I figured it would help get me out of this (lack of) blogging
funk of 2012. Check out my list below, check back often and let me know if you’re
doing something similar or plan on it.
My 101 in 1001 Days ends December 9th, 2014.

He Follows Me Everywhere
This evening Young Money and I were outside enjoying some, ehhh, cool to us weather, watering plants and running around. Well, he was running around I'm still hurtin' from my ruptured Achilles and not quite as mobile as I'd like to be. Anyhow, as I was watering a tree near the fence I noticed he stopped trying to take the hose from me and was stuck frozen starring at the fence.
I said his name to get his attention but his focus didn't break, I realized he was captivated by his shadow cast against the fence. I waved so he could see mine... He got scared and hugged my leg. I kneeled down and waved so he could see me and pointed to my shadow. He looked at it then back to me with this concerned look on his face "who his that waving at us dad?" He didn't say it but I know he was thinking it.
I knew he was gonna be interested in his shadow for a while so I ran hobbled into the house grabbed my camera and tried to get some shots...
I'm not so sure about this guy.
Hey dad, he's not so bad...
Oh, you got the camera...
Uhhh, give me that.
Alright... What if I just poke it here.
Kissing his shadow. I told him not to, no one wants splinters on their lips.
Alright shadow, see you later, dad says it's time for dinner.

"I Wanna Get Cake Wasted"
On Lil Money's birthday we decided that we'd hit up Red Robin for dinner. After dinner he enjoyed his first bit of sugar (As far as I know, everyone seems to be in a hurry to junk-food him up) and he seemed to love it. Take a look.
Wait... You mean I can eat it?
Where have you been hiding this stuff?
Whoa man, I think I had too much. Time for milk and a nap.
Alright, alright, enough with the pictures.

Young Money In The Place To Be
A year ago today you entered the world, just a tiny little guy. Today, a year later, you’re a little ball of energy with you're own little personality… Jumping, climbing, crawling, dancing and playing. And that’s not even half of it. You’ve changed my life and I love it.
This year I learned how to change diapers and I can even do it without gagging (most times at least). I learned that crawling is horrible on the knees but so much fun when I’m chasing you. I learned that your shoes are impossible to get on and as soon as I finally get the second one on you’ve already taken off the first one and your sock. Okay, you win. I've learned that everything I've known is knew and exciting when seen through your eyes.
This has been one of the best years of my life, I look forward to many more. I love you and Happy Birthday!

The Great Outdoors
Lil Money and I took a quick trip to The Great Outdoors for a bit of a photo shoot. The Wife and I (Mostly The Wife) have been planning The 1st Annual Bash for a while now... And by a while I mean since he was about 2-3 months. Pretty much coming up with ideas here & there and then tweaking those ideas. The Wife has been creating all kinds of things for the party, my eye can't really make sense of her ideas until I see them transformed, from what I've seen this is going to be a pretty rad bash.
So... Lil Money and I stopped in to try to get some solid shots for his invitation. The Wife had previously tried out another idea but the weather didn't quite work out in her favor. I'd been wanting to take a trip to TGO and with the Spring-like weather, the timing was flawless. Below are some of my favorites from the shoot.
