He Follows Me Everywhere

This evening Young Money and I were outside enjoying some, ehhh, cool to us weather, watering plants and running around. Well, he was running around I'm still hurtin' from my ruptured Achilles and not quite as mobile as I'd like to be. Anyhow, as I was watering a tree near the fence I noticed he stopped trying to take the hose from me and was stuck frozen starring at the fence. 

I said his name to get his attention but his focus didn't break, I realized he was captivated by his shadow cast against the fence. I waved so he could see mine... He got scared and hugged my leg. I kneeled down and waved so he could see me and pointed to my shadow. He looked at it then back to me with this concerned look on his face "who his that waving at us dad?" He didn't say it but I know he was thinking it. 

I knew he was gonna be interested in his shadow for a while so I ran hobbled into the house grabbed my camera and tried to get some shots...

I'm not so sure about this guy.

Hey dad, he's not so bad...

Alright... What if I just poke it here.

"Filler"

With all that’s gone on with me and my family recently I’ve been neglecting the blog. But… I’m back at work now, haha, and that means my ass has stagnated to my far from ergonomic chair and all I do is stare into a glowing screen all day. So, I guess I’m back.

I’ve come to realize that I probably wouldn’t have a World Wide Interwebs presence if it wasn’t for working a desk job. I’d get by with a Gmail account. However, there’s something about sitting at a desk all day that temps me to get off task from time to time. Toss in a bit of monotony and my mind begins to wonder, which isn’t all bad. Some of my creative ideas and content have spawned from pure boredom. Besides, I’m not blogging from home, I got a life haha. Seriously though, when I’m not at work I’d rather not subject myself to another desk & computer unless I’m paying bills or looking at porn. Kidding, I don’t pay bills. Haha.

I’m not sure how much I’ll be posting as I’m not doing a damn thing these days but sitting on my boney ass or laying around staring at the ceiling until the textures become objects or faces. You know, kinda like looking at the clouds and seeing dragons or elves or whatever you see when you stare into the sky. I’m not going outside anytime soon to look at clouds though ‘cause it’s too damn hot, especially when you’re sporting a fashionable medical boot, but I’ll try to come up with something to post. If you ask me, this post is really just filler, for the sake of posting and the fact that I’ve neglected the blog.

Of course, we all have. All of us but Richard...

Richard could orchestrate the room as he directed conversation. He'd charm your grandmother then teach sneaky tricks to the kids. With him a casual stop in to the market could turn into an adventurous and thrilling tale. 

Richard was... Fun, courageous, confident. Only he could say anything and get away with it. He was charming, sincere, loving. There was something about him, something amazing and unexplainable and I loved it. I knew him, he was in my family and I was lucky to have had him. 

You went away too soon... 

I love you, I miss you,
